Privacy Policy
What FoldThrough handles, why it is needed, and the choices you have.
Effective October 13, 2026. FoldThrough is provided by Erasmus Labs. Contact support@erasmuslabs.ai for privacy questions or requests.
Your remote session
FoldThrough sends your computer’s picture, sound and the input you choose to send between the host and viewer. Clipboard sharing, microphone forwarding, file transfer and terminal access handle their respective content when you use those features. Supported features vary by platform. Only connect to computers you own or are authorized to use.
Paired sessions using the FoldThrough protocol are end-to-end encrypted. When a relay is needed, it forwards encrypted session traffic; it does not need the plaintext desktop, audio, input, clipboard or file contents to relay the connection. This description does not apply to a different protocol you choose, such as VNC or RDP. Your host, viewer and applications on those devices can access session content.
Information used to provide the service
- On your devices: saved computer names, addresses and settings, pairing credentials, and files you receive or export. Sensitive credentials are kept using the platform’s credential storage where supported.
- Optional accounts: the sign-in provider’s account identifier, name and email when supplied, plus account and device identifiers, device public keys, device names, platform and connection status. These let you identify and reach your computers. Local pairing does not require a FoldThrough account.
- Purchases: store transaction identifiers, product and purchase status, and the account association when you sign in. These verify, restore and synchronize Pro access. Payment providers handle checkout; do not send payment-card details to support.
- Connections and diagnostics: network addresses are processed to connect devices and prevent abuse. Operational records can include account/device identifiers, event times, connection outcomes, session duration and relayed byte counts. Usage counters may enforce relay limits. These records support reliability, security and service operation.
- Support: we receive the email and information you choose to send. Please remove passwords, pairing codes, private documents and unrelated personal information from screenshots or logs.
Sharing and providers
We use hosting and infrastructure providers to operate the website, account and relay services. Apple and, where configured, Google provide sign-in or store purchases; desktop checkout may use Stripe. These providers process information needed for their services under their own policies. We do not sell your personal information or use FoldThrough data for cross-app advertising tracking. We may disclose information when required by law or to address fraud, abuse or security incidents.
Storage and deletion
Account and device records are kept while needed to provide your account. Use Settings → Account → Delete Account to request deletion, or contact support if you cannot access the app. The deletion flow removes the account and its linked device records from the active service. It may ask you to confirm your Apple Account. Purchase providers retain their own records; legally required payment records, operational logs and backups may remain for their applicable retention periods.
Deleting a FoldThrough account does not delete files on your computer, documents already received on another device, or local computer-list exports. Remove these on the devices where they are stored. Account deletion does not itself request a purchase refund.
Your controls
Review paired and account devices, revoke devices you no longer use, disable sharing on the host, and turn off clipboard, sound or microphone features you do not need. You can withdraw operating-system permissions in Settings. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or to ask about service-provider and retention details. Requests are handled subject to applicable law and identity verification.
This website and changes
The FoldThrough website has no application analytics scripts, advertising trackers or contact forms. Hosting providers still process connection information to deliver and secure the site. We will update this page when our practices change and identify the effective date above.
